Have you made the decision to get a heating system for your garage or is your current one showing signs of age? Whether attached to your house or in the backyard, there are several possible solutions for heating your garage.

Just as the term man cave was coined to mean the perfect “male-only” place for guys to get together, indulge in their favorite hobby, watch some sports on TV, play a little pool all the while enjoying a cool beverage, women have come to carve out an area exclusively for them – the she shed.

You step into your garage for a little DIY or even a session at your home gym, and the air is hot and humid or cool and damp. Neither is very inviting. Even more disturbing, they can be the source of rust and corrosion or mold and mildew.

When we look at residential building plans over the last 5 to 7 years, one thing we notice is that garages are having higher and higher interiors – the distance between the floor and ceiling. We can see garages that are well above 9 feet high, and often have ceilings of 12 and even 14 feet.

This isn’t one of life’s great questions, so most likely it doesn’t come up… unless you’re thinking about buying a new garage door system, or a spring you have breaks.

With the power and scope of the Internet, all sorts of claims are made that sound quite true and which we often don’t take the time to verify. This deceptive information can even extend to garage door systems.
